Mr. Schmidt received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, in 2012, where he was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif. During law school, Mr. Schmidt was on the Dean’s Honor List and served as the Chief Research Editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review. Mr. Schmidt received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Syracuse University where he was awarded the prestigious Coronat Scholarship and graduated magna cum laude, with honors, in 2009. He is admitted to practice in all California State Courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of California.

Experience

 

Since 2013, Mr. Schmidt’s practice has focused almost exclusively on class action employment litigation pertaining to wage and hour violations, in addition to a select number of individual employment discrimination and wrongful termination cases. Prior to joining Haines Law Group, APC, Mr. Schmidt practiced with the law firm of Boren, Osher & Luftman, LLP.
