Mr. Haines received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2006. Mr. Haines received his Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2003. Mr. Haines is admitted to practice in California State Courts, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of California.

Experience

 

Mr. Haines, an employment litigator, has extensive experience in both state and federal courts litigating class action and single plaintiff employment matters. Mr. Haines’ practice focuses on class action litigation pertaining to wage and hour violations, employee misclassification, off-the-clock work, regular rate and meal and rest period violations. Mr. Haines also handles single plaintiff and multi-plaintiff actions regarding claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Prior to forming Haines Law Group, Mr. Haines was a Partner at Boren, Osher & Luftman LLP, prior to which he practiced at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and Littler Mendelson P.C., where he represented dozens of Fortune 100 and mid-size employers in both class action and single plaintiff litigation.

 

In 2015, 2016 and 2017 Mr. Haines was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, meaning that his peers voted him among the top 2.5 percent of employment lawyers under the age of forty. In 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 Mr. Haines was selected to Super Lawyers.
